Bio

Gail is an Austin singer/songwriter playing in Austin and around the country since 1976. A founding member of the band, The Therapy Sisters, she recorded three albums with them - Multiple Personalities, Relapse, and CoDependent Christmas, and then a solo album, Where the Great Blue Flies, after leaving the band in 1993. Her original songs range in style from folk to blues/country to jazz. A clear Judy Collins/Joni Mitchell style vocal accompanied by finger-picking and rhythm guitar. Classically trained on flute, her influences include Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Paul Desmond, The Big Boys (punk), Bach, Puccini, and Mary Catherine Reynolds. 

She has played the Philadelphia Folk Festival with Linden Sherwin, Austin's SXSW Festival and the Austin Women's Music Festival with The Therapy Sisters, as well as opened with Ruth Huber for such notables as Holly Near and Teresa Trull.
